Another dinner story?
Well that's what we do out here. I won't bore you this time with the logistics except to say of course it was 24 miles away in another city!!
So Saturday we met 4 other couples for dinner. This is our dinner group. We have met monthly now for over a year. Except something was wrong that night. There we were at a great restaurant seated like senior citizens.
Girls at one end of the table and boys at the other!
There we sat all night as if at the early bird special. Every so often acknowledging a spouse at the other end of the table.
All the gussying up we did to try and look hip in spite of our age was lost once we sat down. We were not one of those moments you see in film or in commercials. You know the scene with the cool people around the dinner table engaged in riveting conversation across the table.
Nope not us.
But hey we did make it home by 9:30pm!
